This is the entrance to the 350 acre Relax Inn and Getaway facility.  For historians, this was once the Lewis County Poor Farm until the late 1940s.  Pictures of the way it was then hang on the dining room wall of the Relax Inn.

Next to the mailbox you will see this cast iron tub filled with colorful flowers.

When you reach the end of the 1/2-mile scenic driveway, this is the view of the Relax Inn and Getaway that you will see.

Here are a couple of views of the front and right side of the Relax Inn and Getaway.  The wrap around deck provides a convenient walkway to and from the front and main side porches.

This half-moon window features sand-blasted etching of the owner's name and the year the house was put under roof.  The window is located above the oversize picture window in the Scenic Room .

This is the back patio with hand cut stone, flower beds, stamped concrete walks, and a small but comfortable in-ground heated pool.  It is also the location of the ThermoSpas 5-person hot tub.  The patio and back porch are both setup with a table and lawn furniture for dining and relaxation.  A horse shoe pitch is located off to one side.

The Relax Inn is even more relaxing with the addition of this top of the line ThermoSpas 5-person hot tub as seen on TV.

This is the flower bed and waterfall as seen from the pool and hot tub area.

The Relax Inn and Getaway has a large yard capable of accommodating group gatherings such as this wedding of approximately 100 guests.

The newly constructed 24' x 40' pavilion with stamped concrete floor is available for lease and is perfect for receptions and other social gatherings.  Tent space is also available if needed.

Here is the view of the back patio from the new pavilion.

This medallion graces the walkway that connects the back patio to the pavilion.

The Suite Bonus Room is a huge 24' x 40' self-contained space with complete kitchen, living, bedroom and private bath areas.  Room has a separate entrance with private deck and beautiful exposed cathedral ceiling.  Open space with spectacular views from three sides of the room make this a special getaway.  Sleeping accommodations include one king, four twins, and a sleeper sofa.

The Scenic Room is a large bedroom with breathtaking view of wetland ponds; seeing ducks and geese, from the oversized picture window.  Large closet and open gambrel roof with ceiling fan and outdoor scenery paneling will make your stay truly memorable.  Room has private bath, queen bed, with extra child bed available.

The Cozy Nook features a half gambrel ceiling with exposed beams and rafters greet the guest.  Visitors can wake up to the view of the back 40, including golf driving range, patio and pool area with stamped concrete and hand cut stone flower beds.  Room has queen size bed and shared bath.

Hand crafted log glider and rocker are available for guest enjoyment on the main side porch.

Hand cut stone steps and field stone pillars, with gas lights, can be viewed from the solid oak Amish swing located on the front porch.

Breath taking view of wetland ponds, with ducks and geese, can be seen from the balcony porch which is accessible from the loft area.

Here the owner's son is holding a nice large mouth bass caught from the lower pond available for our guests to fish in.

This is the view of the main living area as seen from the balcony pool table room.  On cool nights a fire can be built in the field stone fire place.  Antique wagon wheel with antler chandelier hang from the cathedral ceiling.  Big screen television is available in this room.

Wormy chestnut barn lumber provides a back drop for the antique farm implements located on one end of the Great Room.  A deer mural covers the back wall.

A solid maple regulation size pool table is available for guest to enjoy.  A skylight and bay window provides sunlight.  French doors open up to the Suite Bonus Room.

This loft area connects the two main house sections.  It provides a walk way from the pool room to the Scenic Room and Cozy Nook.  A multi-gym is located in this area.  A cat walk in the center provides access to the balcony porch.  You can look over the wormy chestnut cross buck banister to view the Great Room below.

Ceramic tile covers the floor in the kitchen, hall, great room, and foyer areas.  Camouflage paneling, cross buck doors and picket fencing make up the down stairs hallway which leads to the outside pool area.

Eat breakfast in the large open kitchen dining area.  View the outdoors thru the full glass slider or 15 glass panel walk in door.  This area is open to the Living and Great Room sections of the house.  Notice the solid walnut cabinets made from trees that came from what is now the Stonewall Jackson Lake area.
